Scott’s Thoughts: Thinking of You

Sandy!“The wind shows us how close to the edge we are.”

Joan Didion, (b.1934), American novelist, essayist, memoirist

With Hurricane Sandy bearing down on the East Coast, now seemed to be a good time to put business and strategy aside to let everyone know we’re thinking of those in the path of the storm. Our Florida offices know first-hand the destruction a hurricane can bring. If you or your loved ones are in harm’s way, please know that we wish them the very best luck and protection.

On our Tuesday Tactics Facebook page, we shared this crisis map, prepared by the folks at Google. It provides webcams, storm tracking information, shelters, and other useful information:

Previously, we have featured resources on disaster preparedness. Information on the site Ready.gov may be of assistance in the aftermath as well:

We know that a hurricane can be a homeowner’s worst nightmare. Some of our very own Tuesday Tactics team had homes on the market in Florida during the infamous 2004 storm season. While it is a headache to lose a home in a storm, the loss of property is nothing compared to the health and safety of our friends and family.

Please stay safe. We’re thinking of you this Tuesday!
