SpeakPipe: Receive Voicemail Through Your Website

Image of SpeakPipe LogoSpeakPipe lets prospects & clients leave 1-click online voicemail.

The faster you can get to human contact with your prospects, the more likely they are to do business with you. Your website, while a necessary and (potentially) powerful part of your lead-building strategy, is still a little removed from the direct contact you need to forge a real connection with your visitors.

One way to make it easier for those website visitors to get in touch is to use SpeakPipe.com, a widget which allows your web visitors to instantly leave you a voicemail message directly from their web browser while they’re on your site.

SpeakPipe is powerful for a few reasons:

1. Visitors don’t have to track down your phone number on the site, then pick up the phone to call. (It’s surprising how hard it is sometimes to find a direct number on the website.)

2. Prospects can leave the message from virtually any computer. You have a record of the voice mails in handy .wav file format. SpeakPipe is free for now and has a simple setup process:

3. Sign up at: http://www.speakpipe.com

4. Install the widget on your website or Facebook page.

5. Test the widget yourself to see how it works (and receive your first voice message).

Alternative: Google Voice

If you’d like to take this one step further, you might consider using Google Voice, a free service from Google which allows you to make and receive calls through your Google account.

One of the powerful features you can add to your website with Google Voice is a “Call Me” button, which allows your visitors to call your Google Voice number directly from a website widget.
