The Ways Realtors Thrive in Winter

Snowman figurine.Winter often gets a bad rap as a notoriously difficult time to sell houses, but according to some this is more myth than reality. While seasonal slumps are real for many, there are some things you can do to give yourself a little edge when the days grow short and the odds grow long.

The Close recently put together a list of “15 Ways Smart Realtors Thrive When Winter is Coming,” and there’s quite a bit of good advice in the piece you could use to take the bite out of a few cold months.

Some of the practical seasonal tips we like:

#6: If You Have a Listing, Make Sure the Entryway is Ready For Wet Coats & Muddy Boots

#14: Make Sure to Plan Showings or Photoshoots Around Earlier Sunsets

Some “success mindset” advice we can get behind:

“Real estate has a pipeline. The actions you take now, will likely pay off with a sale in the winter or spring 2019. Go preview properties — if you don’t have an Open House to run, go see seven properties and meet seven new agents. Focus your energy on one neighborhood you love. Want a referral? Find a way to give one first. Givers gain is my philosophy. Be you and be bold.” -Century 21 Agent Colin Bray

Winter’s here… don’t let it slip away!
