“Sometimes you have to watch somebody love something before you can love it yourself. It is as if they are showing you the way.”

Image of playing cards spelling LOVESomeone else’s enthusiasm is an often undervalued asset. When it comes to sparking a passion — be it for a hobby, career, or calling — we often find our grestest inspiration in other people’s personal excitement for something.

I think we all recognize that people who truly excel at something do so not through practice alone. Yes, you can be good at something through hard work, but true exceptionality in a field only comes through the mechanism of a deeper love and dedication.

This week, I’d like to ask you three simple questions. You don’t have to reply to me (though you’re welcome to), but perhaps they will help inspire you or possibly change your perspective:

1. What do you love?

2. Was there someone that inspired you to love it?

3. Has your love for it inspired someone else?

Think about it!
