Pronounced: (soo-per-SILLy-us)

Adjective:
Behaving or looking as though one thinks one is superior to others. Having or showing arrogant superiority to and disdain of those one views as unworthy.

Synonyms:
haughty – arrogant – proud – lofty – uppish – snooty

Example:

“Though I asked the buyer not to hang around during the luxury condo open house, he sat like a king in the living room, projecting a supercilious air.”
