This week’s closing word:

adventitious

Pronounced: (AD-ven-TISH-us)

Adjective:
1. associated by chance and not an integral part
2. coming from outside: not inherent or native
3. appearing in an unusual or abnormal place.

From Vocabulary.com: “Adventitious is a word you use to talk about things that “just kind of happen,” not because you are trying to do them, but because they just come along.”

Example:
“When my clients got lost on their way to my office, the adventitious detour introduced them to a neighborhood where they later purchased a home.”
