DailyFeats.com: Go Do Good

As readers of Tuesday Tactics know, we’re big fans of using small, habitual changes to accomplish big goals. There’s no task worth undertaking that can’t be tackled with steady, methodical effort.

Naturally, motivation can be a big problem when working towards a goal. We’re always on the lookout for new tools that can help you build towards your objectives through positive reinforcement, “gaming,” or other helpful methods.

There’s a new website and app out right now called “Daily Feats,” and it’s designed to not only help you “do good” in the world (for yourself and others), but also integrates a reward component.

From the website:

“DailyFeats helps you check in, share, and get inspired with every small step. At DailyFeats, reach your goals through ‘feats’: small, positive, daily steps toward your goal. As you do those feats, you’ll track your progress, get reminders, share inspiration, encourage friends, and earn points to redeem for donations to nonprofits or savings from national brands. Yes: we reward you for doing good things!”

The basic premise? You set goals, “do feats” and celebrate your accomplishments along the way.

While the iPhone app is the most prominent mobile component of the Daily Feats project, there are other ways to keep up with your feats on a variety of platforms. The social component of Daily Feats is obviously a big part of keeping you motivated.
