iPhone Security Upgrade: Simple Passcode Off

Simple Pass Code OFF on the iPhone for better security. Here’s a quick tip to make your iPhone password harder to hack. It allows you to protect your phone with a code longer than four digits:

1. Unlock your iPhone and open Settings > General > Passcode Lock.

2. Toggle “Simple Passcode” to the Off position.

3. Tap “Turn Passcode On” (if you don’t already have it on) and enter a new passcode. You can use either letters or numbers here, but if you use only numbers then you’ll be able to enter in a long passcode without having to use the entire Apple iPhone keyboard.

Using numbers only does reveal to thieves that you have a numbers-only password for your phone, but they won’t know how long it is, and it’s significantly more secure than using a four-digit code.
